Hair Flair

Did you know that an average person has 100,000 hair strands?

Yep, Its true.

But, Anna, from Disney's Frozen, has roughly twice that amount of hair strands. (roughly 200,000 hair strands!)

And, whats more, is that her older sister Elsa has twice the amount of Anna's hair strands. (420,000 hair strands!)

Elsa's animators did this because they wanted to give Elsa a broader hair look.

There is also a meaning behind these two girl's hairstyle. Elsa has one braid for she is the first daughter, Anna has two braids because she is the second daughter.

Speaking of hair strands, Let's compare it to Rapunzel, from Disney's Tangled. Rapunzel has 27,000 hair strands, each hair strand 70 feet long.

Wow. That kind of hair needs a lot of brushing.

Speaking about long hair, Let's take a look at Merida, from Disney and Pixar's Brave.

Merida has very curly hair, but if straightened it will reach 4 feet. Which is nothing compared to Rapunzel, but longer than Elsa and Anna's.Also, the ends of Merida's straightened hair will reach the middle of her calf.

Very.............unnatural. Now, let's go back to strands.
Belle, from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, has an interesting type of hair, too. Well, actually, this strand:
